Biography

Zhang Youlai, Attending Physician, Department of Medical Aesthetics, Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University; MD, Fudan University; Attending Physician. From September 2013 to September 2020, he studied and worked at Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, successively under Professor Xu Lei, a renowned expert in microsurgical repair and reconstruction, and Academician Gu Yudong. He has published 5 SCI papers and 2 Chinese core journal papers, and participated in compiling Chinese Microsurgery Operative Tutorial published by People's Medical Publishing House. In 2017, he went to Munich, Germany to attend the Annual Meeting of the German Society for Hand Surgery and Plastic Surgery and gave a conference presentation. He won third prize in the Young Physician Paper Competition of the Microsurgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the Shanghai Society of Microsurgery, and the Shanghai Society of Repair and Reconstructive Surgery in 2018. He is currently a National Youth Committee Member of the Medical Aesthetics Branch of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, a Committee Member of the Beauty and Anti-Aging Society of the Jiangxi Research Hospital Association, and a Committee Member of the Rhinoplasty Specialty Committee of the Medical Aesthetics Branch of the Jiangxi Medical Association.

Areas of Expertise: Repair of peripheral nerve injuries such as common peroneal nerve injury, foot drop correction, and brachial plexus injury; skilled in plastic and aesthetic surgeries including cleft lip nasal deformity repair, rhinoplasty, comprehensive rhinoplasty, oculoplastic surgery, black hairy nevus treatment, comprehensive scar treatment, breast augmentation, and breast reconstruction; extensive surgical experience in minimally invasive treatment of peripheral nerve entrapment diseases such as carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, and thoracic outlet syndrome, as well as peripheral nerve-derived tumors such as schwannomas.
